diabolik, i think a guy named richad clark has 10,000$ for you if you can tell the difference, between a good rockford fosgate amp and a good phoenix gold amp, speaker i would agree, but i dont think if matched identically, with all processing defeated that you would be able to tell the difference between amps, good amp vs good amp, not good amp vs jensen, but perhaps that's what you are saying, any time you mention brand names(like you did with rf) you must be prepared for desert storm like retaliation, and i think its good, guys sticking up for the gear they believe in, makes for heated discission, which is fun, this has been a fun post

Diabolik, don't worry about people's comments. I have a lot of respect for most all of what has been said so far in this thread. Simply put, it has been people expressing their views and opinions. That is what I respect.
But, I don't agree with all of what has been said. I have chosen to keep that to myself, other's have voiced their disagreement.
We will all fall into areas of potential conflict, sometimes it's an issue of personal boundaries.
People have strong views, (myself included) and strong words are often used to articulate those views.
I've enjoyed all of the comments so far, regardless of how rediculous.....

^^^In F1, the McLaren Mercedes team does that all the time. The team principle Ron Dennis is famous for making short statements that say nothing.
It's known as Ronspeak....
I'm glad you like it!

P.S. defro, your car looks awesome. (I'm betting you were expecting some kind of confrontation)

Finding what use the prodcut is best for, that the question.
It is our job to educated the masses, ask questions of our customers.
It's like a dating game, find out what the customer is looking from a system and match them up.

I should not have mentioned brands, and I apologize for that. I have encountered that sort of response before, but not usually in other forums, just in person I meant no offense to anyone.
75% or more is install anyway. I do sound judging and in fact when I go into a car, I shut my eyes and never look to see what the person is using for gear. I have heard some good gear installed improperly (ergo, sounds like ***), and some average gear installed perfectly (sounds great). I am a strong believer in install.
Anyway, I won't comment anymore on brands in this forum, unless someone asks for opinions
FYI, in one competition, a system with the best imaging that I heard was actually an Echo with Bazooka gear Echo's are awesome for setting up a good stage.

I was not focusing particularly on RF, but more the statement. It has been repeatedly shown that two amps, matched for output and ran unclipped, are virtually impossible to tell apart sonically - regardless of brand or cost.
That was my point.
And yeah - I got pissed off at the chain store remark. I've met too many morons in both independents and chains to ever let that one go.

i guess the conclusion one must draw from this is that there with be meatsticks in every type of store in every town from here to there, that fibbs will be told and the truth will come out in the end, one way or the other. i said it before and i'll say it again, we are all pretty lucky to be doing what we do, cuz it could be alot worse.
everyone that replied to this post kinda renewed my faith in the people working and buying from shops these days, hell, some of ya alomost got violent, ahh the good ol' days, people insulting stores, people defending stores, people insulting products, people defending products, kind of refreshing
