Not just say they would come,but seriously commit to showing up...

Remember....This could be a HUGE boost for db drag and SPL competition as a whole....

 

well how many competitors did u have at your last 2x this summer? 15? thats about the number of ppl that would come

 

i would show up next year for sure!... but this year is kinda short notice...

 

thats right the only two things that REALLY matter, MOPAR and HP

I know the event cordinator for the WoW. Honestly man, its going to be VERY VERY expensive. A 10x40' foot both, is $1200 plus electricity. We'd need at least two of those, but the problem is, is then when the show is started, vehicles generally cant be moved inside and out, they have to stay on the floor, so asides from the cash... I dont know how that would work

Well, aren't you a crusty old bugger...hum...what to say...well the double at Auto Temp last year had 43 cars...hum...are western Canada finals had 73 cars...it sound like a promoting issue. We don't charge $90...You guys have 10x the population and dealers. If someone would really step up, DB Drag and USACi could be hugely successful. You just have to believe...like field of dreams... But you right on one thing, planning, planning planning...there's lots or things to sort out. Feel free to contact me, 1-877-4-westec, ask for James. Oh yeah, defro's show drew 80+ competitors and well over 200 specs...in his parking lot!

 

I didn't make it down there this last weekend,but I do have names and phone numbers to contact people..A small beginning...

I've been in touch with people who have put together these shows and I am floored by the costs involved...I have alot more respect for the people that put together these shows...

Anyway,once I get a couple things squared away,I'll be sitting down with some people to draw up numbers and ideas to present to the co-ordinators of the WoW...

Thank God I have a year to try and pull it together...


BTW..How many competitors(not show holders and/or judges,promoters,etc)know aprox. how much it costs to put on a single point show??
