No 3 way front stage with the 700? GAY!! I thought of buying one but now there's no sale.

For crying out loud.

Defro, you are supposed to have only ONE account.

^^^You just have to re-assign the rear channels, every output can be setup as you need.

I posted some install stuff in the install section, but I've got some SQ stuff to talk about too.

I spent about 4 hours setting up and tuning the PXA-H900 with my RTA and of course my ears. My first and most important observation, is that unless your drivers are decently installed, the H900 is a waste. I've got some issues with my mids, and my tweeters. Even though I'm getting incredible sound from my system, the install is sorely in need of some serious work. While I have been working on my install over the past year, I now am confronted with the horrible reality of just how bad my midranges sound. To put this in perspective, my mids sound pretty darn good for a car installation, but they suck when compared to some of my Dad's home speakers. At this point, I'm much closer to the music than ever before in my car, but I'm still concious of the fact that I'm listening to a stereo.(no mater how good it is)

My tuning session with the H900 was really interesting. At the end, every driver had different crossover settings, gain, phase, and EQ. For example:

Right midrange: High pass =225hz@30db/oct., low pass=4khz@24db/oct..
Left midrange: High pass =200hz@24db/oct., low pass=5khz@30db/oct.

...and the list goes on and on. Every driver in the car needed something "special" to get it to sound right.

For those that question this level of control being productive, think of how most every car dash is different on the left and right sides.

I will say at this point that I'd like to hear some other top level cars. So far, my only real point of reference is live music, and really high end home stereos. So...I don't really know what is possible in a car. In other words, I don't know if I've set my sights too high...

Once I get my mids and tweeters sorted out, I'll look into getting to a compitition to hear some other good cars. Hopefully I'll get to hear Jamie's new car sometime soon.

Sounds like you have your work PC logged in as one, and the other at home as the other.

Sorry to get off topic. PEI, thanks for that suggestion...still an odd hurtle; oh well.
