yes all sold through my store, i belive that we are the #1 f#1 status product seller in the country. we are the only store in the chain that sells f#1. many people dont find the value in f#1, all who dont have it or havent heard it, but there are 2 well respected people(pei and mdx) on this board that have recently purchased f#1, replacing the audio control digital pieces, and have said the changes were very dramatic and not subtle like some would excpect going from what is supposed to be a "high end" processor in the audio control, to a truly high end processor in the pxah900, i can already hear the cries of "but its 3 or 4 times as much, it had better be superior" and your right it had better be superior, and it is by an incredible margin that makes the price of the pxah900 hard to pass up to the person looking for sonic superiority, just ask pei and mdx, was it worth you paid?
I like objects that are well crafted. I have a facination with Formula 1 memorabilia for this very reason. ANYONE that want's to see the right way to build a box with 11 (eleven) 24 bit D/A converters inside should tear appart an H900.
That's right, I said ELEVEN.
On the fabrication side alone, this piece is a marvel. The internals are first rate in every respect, and the details are absolutely stunning. The processor chassis puts many other high end amplifiers to shame. If you like machined and bilet a

Without touching a single tuning feature, the H900 will match some of the best home D/A converters right out of the box. Theta, Wadia, and Spectral come to mind as worthy rivals. It's just that good.
Open up the tuning software on a laptop connected to the H900, and you are emersed in tuning heaven! The flexibily absolutely boggles my mind. More importantly, it's extremely easy to use.
I just can't say enough good things about this product.
Is it worth the $6400 MSRP, in my opinion absolutely!
Is that what most people pay for it? Probably not. I'd venture to say that this type of product is targeted at a more mature consumer, someone who has probably built up a good working relationship with a dealer. So as I've said many times before, support the dealer....and they will support you.
Defro, there is another member of the board that bought a 7990 and H900 recently, but I'll let that be his secret to tell. So for now, there are 3 of us extremely happy with our toys.
Worth every penny!

This unit is not for everyone and is priced just that way. Most times you will see things priced because of name recognition and such but the F#1 status stuff is really just that good. The look of the 7990 is just so classy its hard to put into words as with the volume **** on it. It is so smooth and acts just like a home theatre ****. The H900 isnt just a nice piece to look at but the controls on the unit are out of this world. Adam already said the software is easy to use and in total control of the system which it is. But what he didnt hint at is that having that much control at your fingertips while tuning is a godsend. Being able to hear the differences while you are making the changes is something that you just cant put a price on. Now you can do this with other stuff I know by installing it in reach but to me its just not the same.
All in all they named it F#1 Status because it is a status unit. Just like anyone who drives a Mercedes or BMW knows the "status" that it brings with it (whether they bought it for that or not).

I'll agree with all the positives being put out here on the unit. On the flip side, I've listened to a few cars with the Alpine F1 setup that just were comopletely life-less and sounded no better then stuff at a fraction of the cost. Ok, that being said, buying this piece requires commitment to the highest levels of sound reproduction and installation. The unit is NOT a magical box. It can be setup to sound like a$$. But in the hands of skilled and knowledgable people, pure MAGIC !!!!
Anyone here listen to the Alpine S class benz at CES 2004 ?!?!? IT had this system in it and I believe was a Japanese originating vehicle. Maybe it was me, but it sounded weird (especially staging and some tonality issues). It was I think the 3rd vehicle that I've sat in with an F1 system that I thought was off.

Tom, I'm considering hiding all of my fancy gizmos and amps.
I just don't think it's as important as the sound in the end.
Maybe if people heard my car without knowing what the heck they were listening too, they might enjoy the music more. Expecting the musicians to come give you a high 5 is just too big an expectaction to overcome.....even for the F#1 stuff.
I mean..how real is real...
