Just tell us what processor or head unit you are using for DSP.

I think I recall somewhere he posted he has a Pioneer 880PRS.

My pioneer DEH P8600MP has individual T/A control for front L/R, rear L/R, and sub.... just depends on how you amp the RCA's. I don't have rears, so I utilize the individually T/A'd RCA's as Mid and tweet controls.

Is time alignment becoming common in the new head units? I was thinking, for a digital source it would be easy (and cheap) but for a radio source it would require an A2D in the signal chain. Are there any head units that have programmable filters and time alignment? So that you would have the crossover in the dash too? I guess you'd lose the fader function but who cares...

^Many are starting to yes.

Some have very advanced xovers\slopes\ta\EQ such as the p99(I think model) pioneer and the blaupunkt bremen would be another.

The Pioneer DEH P880PRS and the DEH P800PRS have all the things you mentioned.

It's not a completely flexable Xover though, as you can only control from 50-200HZ.... and need secondary xovers to control the tweets and high cutoff of the mids. There are decks that do have fully adjustable 3/4 way xovers though.

^You can xover tweets and midrange just fine with it. I think it is the midrange lowpass that doesn't go low enough for some situations.

I don't know man... how you going to separately Xover mid and tweet with these controls? I have yet to see a tweet that goes down to 200hz. There is no way to go active with this without using a secondary Xover.

High-Pass Crossover (HPF) 50/63/80/100/ 125/160/200Hz, 0/-6/-12dB/Oct.
Subwoofer Crossover (LPF) 50/63/80/100/ 125/160/200Hz, -6/-12/-18dB/Oct.

This is right from the Pioneer site. For the price it's a nice pc of equipment though

It's been around for years, alpine cda-9835/33 c.2004 had very elaborate xo, ta, and eq systems collectively known as their bass engine pro system with xo up to 24db/oct slopes from 20-20k (1/3 oct steps) in 3 way mode, 5 band parametric eq, 6 ch t/a in 0.1 ms steps, phase selector, etc...all in the head unit.

The website doesn't show the features from "pro" or "advanced" mode.
