Let's Seperate Myth From Fact....

One of the biggest problems in SQ is the listener, not the listening room or car. I dont know if I can think many people who can hear any difference from one system to another, from a staging point of view. Depth seems to be the hardest thing to train your brain to hear. But it all comes down to how crazy you are for SQ. I like the technical aspects. So for me staging is almost black and white.
TA is a tool. I think in car audio, it's a required one to attain the best possible SQ. Wether from one seat or two. Lack of knowledge on how to use it or other tuning tools is a different topic.

^^that one is just plain dumb. Unless the length difference is ridiculous where resistance and voltage drop become an issue, i can't see how a meter or so at light speed is going to change the phase, TA, or SQ to be audible by anyone. We're talking 300,000km/sec over a few meters...that's a delay on the order of .00000003 seconds or so.

Time Alignment is necessary for proper staging

For Item#2 I think it should be revised to:
Speakers cable design (of adequate gauge for the service) makes any difference at all.
My answer is no.

Xmax is the actually maximum physical extension of a speakers cone. Motor force is a combination of mechanical and electrical Q which will be required to move that cone. BL is the amount of force that is exerted to the cone for a given amount of current through a coil. This is the simplest way I can explain it.

The point about One Seat vs. Two - I guess that is where I have a hard time understanding how any time related changes made to enhance one position don't create more negative effects on the other? I'll be the first to admit - I have no experience using time alignment, so my question definitely falls under the category of your last sentence.... but what the hell, I'm always happy to learn something new. Cheers!
