j/k - a friend of mine had a couple die on him and was told by a contact at Rockford (being a pro has some advantages) that they should not be mounted inverted, and to have decent ventilation.

Not sure who at Rockford told your friend that. I spoke with Dan at rockford who is a product developer and he stated - upside down is no problem! They used to have problems with their power supplies and now apparantly noise - in my case!

it wont be 100% done until the new year - once the trunk is wrapped up I have to re-do the dash and make the huge sub box!
Plus I'm having processor noise issues and seriously thinking of going digital!
