Most common car audio myths...
I just heard this one today while checking out some HUs....
Clarion 835 will beat any Eclipse HU in sound quality, watts to power your speakers and eclipse dont have this cool color changing feature + they are on sale right now... trust me.. all my customers say these sound way better then eclipse....
For what I said... thats great and left.

hey fellas just a quick question should i do the sony test. Run a cheap *** amp like small sony or pioneer amp(100 rms) on a sub like a pioneer ten that claims taht it can handle 3 or 4 hundred rms and drive it into clipping so we can end this right now. I can tape it if i have too.
I personally don't care........If you don't want to believe me or all the others that said the same thing, it doesn't matter. The electronics stores of Canada will thank you and we will sell more speakers.
Maybe it's all been a dream and clipping is just a barber term...........hmmmm........
DAMN !!!!
Another pixie !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bye Bye

Hey Tim i agreed with you a hundred percent on your clipping arguement. i was stating that the amp will blow the sub even though it is underpowered. It was late and i guess it wasnt clear enough sorry guys. Pixies hahahahhaha

How about you do that, but use a scope to set the gains, and a voltmeter and clamp meter to measure power, than crank the gain and measure power then.
Perhaps we can dispell the clipping myth first and foremost... that might clear a few things up.
Ok A rok i got the following for the test to be completed. I got a old clarion pro audio dvc woofer its a SRM3008 model 250rms 500 peak. I'm gonna wire the sub to 8 ohms and put it on my pioneer amp. This amp is 200 rms by two at 2ohm stereo 400 rms gour ohm bridged, so i fugure it would be best to run it 8 ohm stereo or eight ohms bridged. I can get a rockford fosgate OSC2 oscilliscope to set the gains. I got a volt meter, ummm clamp meter not sure. Are they expensive and where can i get one. Also is there any input anyone else has before i do this so every aspect of it is covered so there are no arguements after this is done. Like do you guys care if it is in a box and such. I'm gonna tape it and i may need someone to host the video depending on size. So i'll wait a few days before i do this and then i guess we'll see what happens.
If it doesnt blow here it's gonna see some socket time at home lol.
