Well, it's either nails or brads. Brads are just the single ended ones. The nails look like a large long staple....are they called nails?

Every shop I've ever been to uses screws of some kind, whether it's drywall or wood screws. I don't know anybody in competition that uses nails to hold their box together,I don't blame them, I wouldn't do it either.
You'd have to be using some serious brad nails to hold a box together, or a large quantity of them which would be a waste of time and brad nails. Oh and there's a big difference when I think of conventional nails as opposed to brad nails. You weren't very clear about it in that first post.
I thought the big *** staple lookin things were called something else...Brad nails are a very small nail and are mostly used for trim work around the house like 1/4" corner rounds along the ceiling or baseboard.
Sorry dude i'm not six though. A brad nail is an air nail fired from a gun anywhere from three quarter inch to 2.5 inchs and they hold very well ask around here trust me lot's will know what i am talking about. This is how most prebuilt boxes are assembled!
Whatever man, I guess different people have different names for the same thing.
What your talking about is just a regular nail, but because you fire it into wood using a nail gun instead of a hammer makes it a brad nail? So when I fire a 3/4" spike into a shingle when doing roofing that's a brad nail? I call it a roofing nail.
I use a staple gun for brad nails, I got one of those combo staple/brad nail guns from crappy tire or home depot.

Also as i stated earlier this is used in conjunction with yellow wood glue and all the 2" brads do is hold it in place till the glue sets. The glue is where the strength lies you break your mdf before your glued seam!
