This is a great opportunity for Canada. It seems like people are scared that no one will show up but in reality there will probably be more people in Toronto then there was at Tulsa. We will still be going against the top competitors (just not in person). More people will come out and play knowing they have a chance to compete against the best of the best.

We all need to show the world what we can do!

Don hit me up with you need anything.........i dont have your number

Lol I only have 2 small 10's right now. Maybe a total of like 80 dBs. Maybe after tomorrow tho I will be able to enter a few comps.

I will call and talk to the local shops and see if they are willing to sponsor and help and then I will talk to "psychoacoustics canada" and get them hooked up with whatever they need be. They are closed for the weekend but I will call next week and see what they say.

I love the thoughts of a canadian finals.... I have never registered for a db drags membership, but if I knew there would be a finals in canada.... I would be ordering a membership. I was never willing to make a crazy long drive to any finals with my car and I cant cross the border now anyways.

Do you have to use the same car at finals you collect all your points with though?. My car is tucked away for the winter long before march. I'm sure I could track down a trailer or something if need be.

you can use another vehicle to collect points however, you need a certified score with the vehicle you take to finals

I've sat back for the last couple days reading everyones comments and I have to say this is truly sad... people have singled out individuals, pitted canadians against eachother, its sad...

Many of the comments made are interesting, and the facts more so. I know my system isn't , but if we had an Ontario World Finals I would do whatever it takes to get the point requirements, even though I know I'm going to get stomped by Team Trinlect (lol) at every show. I'll settle for what ever points I get. I too have to be honest when saying I can't make a Buffalo show.

SO, should we be honored with a FINALS IN ONTARIO. I will be there, to have my *** handed to me, and take in all there is to learn/see at finals. It'll be an experience that I can't turn up.

I would like to think that Windsor would have at least 4 competitors if we had a guaranteed World finals in Ontario. (Duwayne, Derek, Ken and myself) Even if we all lose. How many opportunities will we get at a finals? WE ALL need to make this happen.

Although I understand many points made about dBDrag and how it's operated, I will buy my dBDrag membership for the first time today. (Sending you a PM shortly Don) If it means we don't have a finals I just won't continue it next year. I compete for the fun of the sport, and to hang with people that have similar interests. I don't need a membership to do that but if I do for my points to count toward a world finals that I can actually attend... I'd consider it money well spent.

lol, thats fine.... I'll see you in the lanes??

I mean, come on man, you gonna tell me if we had a confirmed World Finals in Ontario (not necessarily GTA) you wouldn't come out of retirement for this year?

I think this opportunity is what our area needs to boost the interest. Yes, NY is close too, but as mentioned several competitor can't just get passports over night.

Seems like the only things I can personally do is:

get on my build
buy a dBDrag membership
get to as many shows as possible to get my points
and go to finals and see what the vets like yourself can show us. It's not all about winning 1st place (well, ya a little, lmao) but what you take home from the event. Be it a trophy or some new idea a fellow competitor gave you to try.

In the end, its all about proving CANADIANS can hold their own in SPL, learning new things and getting to meet new people in the process.
