support by participating. You dont have to, infact nobody has to! If your bored with the sport then who can make you participate. Im new and want to attend a finals and i see a good opportunity here. I like competing and i will support the guys who work to have shows for guys like me. The same guys are bringing a finals spot closer, I cant speak for you but im going to support their hard work by participating in their shows and their finals.

To be honest I think they having a place set up in Buffalo will make things difficult for an east location. Having multiple locations is great for dB drag and maybe next year?

Anyway, I have no idea where to compete at this point, FL, NY, cali? hehe

the bottom line is, if world finals do come to canada, it can't be a flop like tampa and cali were. I dont think wayne will give canadians another chance

Also, I used to think of finals as like the olympics of dbdrag, so it's pretty cool if it was in our backyard
so instead of trophies, I suggest medals... gold for first, silver for second, bronze for third

Iam with Bart on this, I was just getting into DB Drag when I had to sell all my stuff and know finally I can get back and compete again but it seemed like the sport was dieing but now we have a chance to turn it around a little it looks like. I have bin to a final but just to watch and I said I will get there 1 day to compete but it was kinda a dream due to they are soo far away but now this I think its great. Yuli I have a question not tryin to be a smart *** you know I respect you but you said why should you help but you have in your sig "Looking to host a car audio event in Ontario? Send me a message"
I know you may not talking be about DB Drag shows but I think you can help make this happen bro everyone in eastern Ontario knows who you are and how hard you have worked so please for the future of the sport help make this happen maybe it will turn around and you will want to start competing again

Since I can't find this information anywhere else, I'll have to ask the most basic questions here ...

How often do "World Finals" occur?
Having multiple venues, are all of them connected with one another? Or they're separate shows entirely with the same name?

How does this differ from the "Finals" we have every single year ...
How does this differ from the "Canadian Final" we had at 2 locations last year ...

Someone jump in please

This is world wide. There are venues in brazil usa italy. All connected via internet going head to head against one another for the world championship. It happens once a year. Our canadian shows aren't real finals. They are regional championships.

world finals occur often, some in the summer months and some in the fall/winter. really depends on what you are looking at. For example, NBA finals and NHL finals happen in June. NFL is a bit later in the year. But then if you are talking about Poker, finals there happen like every other week.

they are all separate venues with same name that are connected.

it wont really differ from the normal finals we have with the exception that the score and points you will get will probably count towards next season. normally finals is actually the first show of the new season. However, in our case it has always been the last show of the current season, so this might be the only diff.

also, my mom could have entered our past finals events as there were no requirements or pre requesits. now there are.

reason we had two finals last season was cuz one of them was IASCA, which will still happen this year. so, we should have two locations again.

SPLTV RULES!

Just a little tidbit of info I'd like to share with the people on here.
There is some additional info that goes along with the "potential" Canadian location.

1. Canadian competitors are only allowed to compete at the Canadian location (meaning US competitors are not permitted to come to the Canadian location)

2. There will be a minimum competitor requirement in order for the location to be finalized and approved (this is what I understand from the powers that be)

More thoughts and info to come... just thought I'd share that for now
