i will say 4 Canadian competition teams have called me in the last 24 hours and said...WE WILL BE GOIN TO BUFFALO

This makes me ill. You guys all talk about a slap in your faces, this is a slap in mine. Consider canadas finals location a distant memory after this. Until we learn to support our own venues, promoters, and shows we will never have a location in canada. Its sad but its the truth.

Everybody wants a big finals where they can watch and go against top notch competitors that we dont get at regular shows. Its unfortunate that alot of Ontarios competitors have disapeared from street and ss classes. If there is a Canadian venue, we will have the same bunch of guys competing against themselves. Not even guys out west will come here because its easier for them going to L.A. American competitors cant even attend our finals if they wanted to, and why would they when Buffalo is so much closer?

Id love to see an all Canadian venue, if we had participation from our western competitors we could probally make it work well. I just cant see that happening this year.

Bart, the canadian venue aka Performance World was all but paid for, with the lack of support from the west, who are going to cali, and the lack of support from the east, see above, this just isnt worth the risk. It was going to cost over 13 000 for the venue, then sanctioning fees on top, trophies, and other expenses. Im not willing to risk my life on the off chance that it might work. Im buffalo bound.

DAMN IT so there goes that eh. Man this sucks it was a nice dream for a day or 2. We need to turn SPL around here so we can have a chance at our own finals 1 of these years. I guess I better get my pass port by then lol. The effort and thought you put into it is appreciated though PsychoAcoustics Canada maybe next year.

The Problem I see is that Buffalo and Toronto are way to close together. This will not work, two finals locations 2 hours apart? A Canadian location would be great if all others were too far, then we would have a good amount of competitors.

very well put.

Don is trying for you guys and by going around his back and calling american's telling them there is no need for a Canadian location is a real insult to Don. Wow, just wow!

come to think of it, i cant even think of 4 canadian teams who are with in reach to buffalo or toronto???????

who are these mystery teams????? Toronto doesnt really have any "teams", people out west (Longdon, Windsor) woudnt care if it's Toronto or Bufallo. For everyone east (Kingston/Ottawa) Toronto would be much closer of a drive......

so who are these teams??? please dont say it's Peterborough/Lindsay people.

this is the saddest day in Canadian SPL history. There is a whole heap of good competitors who cant go to US, or for whom that drive might be abit too long.

how many canadians were at the last buffalo show? 2? 3?

you guys are gonne regret this.

and to go behind Don's back is just WOW. loosers.

you do realize we will never have a finals venue EVER again b/c of this, right?

Do you REALLY think you wont be competing against the very same people anyways, even if it's in Buffalo? Think about it man.

Actually in Buffalo there will be LESS people, since there is a whole heap of good, strong competitors and cars that can not cross.....

Peter MTA
David Joseph
SPL INC
Half of ALLTECH team
Half of all the brampton/mississuaga people

are just to name a few who wont be making it to buffalo.

Bart i dont know which "top notch" competitors are u talking about????? There are none left. Do you think Alan Dante will come to buffalo? lol cmon man. All the "top notch" guys are right here in Toronto man, wake up.

I dont know who's idea it was to push for the Buffalo show, all i can say is that an SPL comp at Performence World (like Don planned and how AudioThunder used to be) would blow everyone's sucks off. But now, you guys would rather drive to dirty *** Buffalo to compete against the same people u would here anyways? just maybe a lesser number.

Toronto used to be one of the epicenters of car audio, Don was trying to bring that back and the very own people he's doing it for are killing it.
