SPL Competitions

the only problem with that is there is a small number of 'veteran' guys. say 2 to 3 per show tops, around here anyways, so it makes little sense to have 2 separate classes just for those 2 guys.
when i started out i got spanked like a little baby. but then i asked for help and i got alot.....ofcourse at my own expense of time and money.

I think one of the things is that most people just have a regular system, that they spent tons of money on gettings installed and such, they goto a comp, get their *** kicked then that's the end of it.
There aren't too many people who actually want to compete anymore. You can't force people to goto shows if they don't want to.
What needs to be done is get more people involved in SPL, and get them to want to goto shows and do good.
You can do all you want, have big trophies, cheap entry fees but I don't think a lot of people want to spend anymore money even if it's just 20 bucks to go get their *** kicked.
I dunno just my opinion.

These types of shows might have worked in Trinidad but I doubt they would over here.
No offense to your idea, but it would be kinda silly to just hand out trophies to whomever gets the most applause, that's not really a correct way of judging things.
Also, there are or were a few competitors who were more popular than others, if you don't like someone, why would you cheer for them, meaning....they'd have no chance of winning.
