jus tryin to pop some ideas here ..thats all...instead of just sayin SPL SPL SPL...it would be great if someone else can try pitching something else...i mean some time ppl are gonna get tired of coming to the shows and seeing the same people over and over again..in a tired DB drag..you gotta get the crowd really into it..so they leave wanting more....any ideas..?

Ray was always one of the best judges for getting the crowd involved and keeping things exciting; that is why most of his shows were so popular. He knew how to keep the action going, and it is really sad that he will not be involved with dB drag this year because he was a huge asset to the sport. Other shows that simply have one competitor after another go and burp simply cannot match that kind of show regardless of trophys/prizes.

I watched a few videos of European shows, and even their single pointers seem pretty wild; to them it seems to be more about putting on the show than the actual competition. It is not uncommon for a single pointer in Europe to have 50-100 people (one in France last year had over 100) and every show seems to have a big party to go along with it. They are much more laid back there though, so I don't think we will ever have shows like that over here.

Lol, I have watched those videos too.
But I think canada has stricter rules on public nudity. but if you get that, then you have a good show and turn out :P I know many many guys that would come then :P

And bass race, we have never had it in saskatoon, possibly not in saskatchewan. I would love to try it.

its worth trying....bass race i mean although i definitely won't mind some chicks running around topless...i'm new to this scene do you guys have bikini contests at your shows...not the big shows cuz i know they do...but the smaller ones...i know that this might cost some serious $$...but maybe try a show..theme..summer in the spring...hot tub...chicks in bikinis....wet t-shirt comp..if its legal...and off course your loud toys....maybe a breakdance competition?we just gotta make it more than jus about SPL...so we attract more ppl... all indoor of course..n heated...

Indoor would cost a fortune. Although wouldn't be bad if they got all the shops together, and some good sponsores. Maybe rent a indoor place.
But the local shows in saskatoon (my city) don't have anything more than just a spl competition. No contests, no topless girls. Just spl.
