There aren't too many people who actually want to compete anymore. You can't force people to goto shows if they don't want to.
What needs to be done is get more people involved in SPL, and get them to want to goto shows and do good.
You can do all you want, have big trophies, cheap entry fees but I don't think a lot of people want to spend anymore money even if it's just 20 bucks to go get their *** kicked.
I dunno just my opinion.
Johnny has a point here. If there was a class for "custom install spl" or "daily driver spl" as opposed to "amature" class, because we all know that custom or daily driver installs (a futureshop amp and pre fab box) are "generally" not that loud.

So make a class for these types of installs, that way, the guys dont get their asses handed to them in a "street A" division.

...or give everyone a first place trophy so noones feelings get hurt, and they dont end up wasting money tring to do better next show....and let me add that I went to a few Calgary shows in 04 with a slotport box I built with a jigsaw in my driveway and $30.00 material, 2 b brand concept woofers, and a modest 500w a/b amp.I kept up with the best of them. Its a competition you aim to do better and get louder, its somthing your into or your not.We need not step back and make it any simpler to compete!

in the stock devisions for iasca that is preaty much the case. if u are sposored or affiliated with the industry in any way u are not allowed to compete in that class. is this what u mean? works great for me at my shows and provides a fair and fun playing field for the average guy!

At what point does a customer or good customer become "affiliated"?

its up to you to be a veteran and be informed as to what category your in. you'd never be in stock because you are affiliated with the industry.

are you not a certified judge for Db Drag?

that is one form of affiliation that is not allowed but prostock, advanced and ultimate are right up your alley.
