^^ Ahh ya I think they would bust in your place, point guns at your head, and beat the **** out of ya if they wanted...
One case might be more extreme, as they could basically do whatever they wanted(steal,rape,murder)... but it isnt the the early 20th in germany now is it ???
But you still don't see any correlation there.. ???? well maybe one day your civil rights will be violated in some extreme way and we'll see what kind of song you sing then....

My point is that it's not fair to generalize entire groups of people based on the actions of a few.
It's like saying "worthless ignorant SPL'ers." Some are pretty bad, but most are normal guys.
Some cops are horrible, but that happens with any profession. It's worse because they have so much power to abuse, but I'm pretty sure most people would rather have our current police system rather than no police.

I have no fear of law enforcment, I in fact have many friends that are police. I would expect them to treat me like any other suspect IF I did something wrong.
and aside from speeding, I don't do anything wrong.

thanks for the accusations. i guess u never had your face slammed on the hood of a cop cruiser for simply being in a suspecius spot after 10pm. i found out the hard way that the park and the attached parking lot down the street from my house is a 'suspecius spot'.
i remember a few years back a buddy of mine got stabbed in a fight, i drove the guy to the hospital. cops apprehanded us at the hospital emergency room and i was in a holding cell for 6 hours b/c some one saw the fight and called in my plates. innocent untill proven guilty my azz. i was guilty untill my buddy regained his consciousness and said i didnt do anything.

Yea no ****.. Ive seen cops abuse thier powers time and time again... hell, my buddy got hit by a cop car buring into a parking lot at a high rate of speed... cop had to nail on the breaks and still hit him... then arrested the guy when he tripped out.... yea, awsome...
Seems to me in my dealing with the popo that a simple stroke of their ego will make all the difference between a complete hassle or not... should that matter ???
Yea they are out there to get the bad guy.. but in order to assertain who the bad guy is they often intimiate and manipulate which is not fair if you are just an ordanary person caught in the wrong situation....
In the meantime we have real crimials all over the place and they don't seem to be doing anything effective in stopping them... Ie TORONTO GANG VIOLENCE...
Anyone ever see a cop write off a cruiser doing 120kn/hr in a 50....? yea, it happens a few times a year in my area.... then there were the two guys last year who killed eachother because they were 'racing' to some meeting doing 160km/hr+ on public roads while on duty for no necassary reason...
OK, these guys are only human.. and people make mistakes... the question is how much arbitrary power one person should have over another before you can expect abuse of that power... ?
