You know what, I am tired of people being all about "it shouldn't be how you look" I mean yah in a perfect world nothing would be judged on how you look. But when you first walk up to somebody you can't discern their personality, income, religious background (most of the time), education, family history, or whether they are a good person or not. All you can see is how they look. It goes for when you meet someone of the opposite sex, someone you are doing a business transaction with, someone you are looking to hire, and pretty much every other aspect of interacting with others. Why would the police be any different? I am not saying if you are Black the police are going to assume you are a hood. But if you are black and are wearing jeans 10X too big, with a baggy shirt and a crooked baseball cap and a bunch of gold chains, they will probably think you are a punk, of course I look at white guys that way too. If you don't want to be grouped with a bunch of criminals, don't dress like them, hang out where they are and act like them, it's as simple as that.
Do I feel bad that what happened to Haunz's sis happened? Sure, but she is the one who has to take responsibility for putting herself in that position in the first place.

Derrek, thats exactly how racism, profiling and other sorts of descriminations start. when people are judged by their looks, race and religious beliefs. i judge people based on what they say and not how they say it. u know what i mean.
alot of poeple try to protray an image with their appearance, it is sad that many of us forget that it is just that, an image.
the example with a guy wearing 10x the size and gold chain is too funny btw. but there is an old saying that goes something like not everything that shines is gold or looks can be deceiving, something like that?

^ her only mistake was being involved with an idiot... lol..
Her and this guy were friends then roommates... only he of course wanted more then that... he started to freek out if she was hanging out with any other guys.... became obsessive.. ect.. (this is after it was pretty obvious he was a degenerate anyway)
Anyway.. he got the boot and he was pissed, trashed/stole a bunch of her stuff.. threatened her... talks **** to anyone who would listen.. ect... she tried to get a restraining order and the cops said she had no proof to base it on...
At anyrate... shes planning on colledge in london next year which is good... she was advised by our familly councillor that if she wants to press charges or sue the department she best be getting her *** out of town or she's going to be harrassed by the cops... sounds like nice guys eh furley...
And to DW.. ya know that attitude does go a certain ways... but that is the same attitude causing my sis to go through all this **** in the first place... she dresses in goth type apparel and has tattoos and peircing.... hence as far as the slick **** cops are concearned she is a piece of white trash...
Last I checked it was a free country, and I should be able to dress/look however I want without being discrimonated against.... especially by those who are supposed to be there to protect me and my right...

Sister definitely needs to choose better "friends". She put herself into the situation. The Police will take every circumstance like this the exact same way regardless of who is involved. They have no idea what may face them on the other side of the door. The proper response was the method taken. They treat everyone the same way for valid reasons, reasons that have cost members and the general public their lives.
Yuli, the flip side to the view you posted is simple, if you choose to walk the walk and talk the talk, accept the fact that you are now part of the problem that that demographic portrays, regardless of race, age, sex or religious beliefs.
If you choose to be a law abiding citizen, 99% of the time you have absolutely nothing to be concerned about excpet your everyday life. The other 1% is when the non-law abiding citizen has chosen to make a part of their normal everyday life.
