I would make the tip to Central Station Custom in chateauguay qc. He's an authorized dealer and has installed several. Don at CSC can answer all you questions you need.

Im really interested in this unit, can someone confirm that with this units 4chan built in DAC that no other external active crossovers would be needed? If so it seems like a great all in one solution.

Many of us with this deck have competed and won many competitions because of the user friendliness of it's hardware & software.

You might find it difficult to find one brand new in a box. I've been looking for a few weeks now and have found NONE!

Yea I'm trying to source one as well... can only hope

Another question for the owners of this deck, reading the manual it states that you should "only" use your tweets with the high chan output (makes sense) but to also use the passive crossover that came with it. Is this just as an extra redundancy in protecting the little guy from low freqs as I don't see why it would be needed if everything is set right for them in the HU.

I would never use the passive x-overs. Active gives so many more options.

Yea this was my whole intent with using this HU, the only reason I bring it up is because it was in the first paragraph of the install manual. It seemed odd and was wondering if it was stated for a specific reason?

They want you to include the passives as a fail safe. Not only will they protect the tweeters should the crossover point be set too low on the deck, many passives have circuits in them to protect the tweeters from spikes and such.
