I was also considering an audison lrx6.9 or arc 900.6 depending onhow the funds are

my only concern with the prs-a900 is it being only 50w per chan although it would have great sq, the d4200f have more power but I haven't heard these fd classamps and am unsure how much better than say a pdx4.150 Or solid4 it would be.

I have 4 PRS-900 bnib & 2 slightly used that were in my demo car for 3 months.

Retail is $1600.00

New is $750.00

Used is $350.00

I got bad news though, my pioneer rep just told me the DEX-p99RS is now a discontinued product . I have to email back for clarification the reasons.

Bah I don't know now, this really seemed like a perfect all in one type unit, and would be light years ahead of what I have now (CDA-9807 hahah yea I know)

I was also sourcing some TS-S062PRS mids and have not heard back as per those. My fingers are crossed. If anyone else has any info on this or still has access to one let me know.

I have two pairs of those mids brand new in stock.

I knew about the end of that deck's life when I asked to buy more three weeks ago.

I may be persuaded to sell mine...

Any idea if they are bringing out a direct replacement for it or was it just too high a price point for them to continue in the ultra high end deck market?

Im not sure why they got rid of them. It was the best deck in the market. I sold a bunch of them. Is there a replacement? I dunno.

As for the mids, I would highly recommend them. They do sound beautiful in the ultra small enclosures that they come with.

I guess the alternative now for an in-production SQ deck is sadly the MX406.

ya, I've gone through some nice decks, and that is the only one is truly miss.

the MX-406 is amazing in every way.

...I would probably miss my P99 just as much though

I finally got my heavily modded old school Clarion drx9255. That's a mirror internally to the 406.
