i think i have decided on the p99.

shouldn't be too too long before its here. i most likely would not be using that 6channel anyways, and this way its all english and better service is i actually have an issue with it.

..i should be hearing back today from ss electronics about the 9965...they say they can fix it, it just will take a bit of time to order the proper parts. and i still need the quote. so once i have that back and sell it, i am well on my way to the p99...
then i can get this foolish cd5000 out of my dash

i don't know, I've heard October for the US... I couldn't wait that long, my p01 is ordered and it should be here in roughly 2 weeks. I don't mind the jap menu.

It will definitely clean my install and since my amps are installed under the front seats the long RCA issue is not a prob for me.

For me the only downside with this unit is that the button are to small for my big fingers, but the remote should help with that "small" issue.

ya apparently the remote is pretty nice. set up like the scroll pad on an ipod?
im worried that it will be a fingerprint magnet with buttons that are too small.

if it turns out the be october, im not waiting. but im thinking middle february though.

if i say it, it will be true. ...i hope

2 weeks until yours though, thats gotta be exciting. what are you replacing with it?

I currently have a DVA-9861 with PXA-H701+RUX

Everything is installed in front (sub, amps...) and removing the PXA+RUX will clean up my install. For the sound, I'm pretty deaf so i don't know if ill notice the difference but i hope so.

Paul, great choice on the bitone.. for OEM intergration and full control you cant go wrong.. i have been playing with mine for the last week now.. i used to be a big pioneer fan and ran the pioneer p9 for a few years when i was competing.. hopefully this head will bring back some fans.

Elettromedia has been working with mobridge in the states and we have done quite a few .most. systems to bit one direct.. awsome piece for vw-audi-bmw-benz

the bit one should start getting to be known alot more in the next 6months

does any one know any details about ipod integration with this unit?

personally I have always avoided ipods...I own a Zune, they just sound alot better.

but with this digital connection bypassing the d/a in the ipod etc etc, I am going to be purchasing one.

my question is,

1st and 5th generation are limited that they can only be controlled through the unit when connected, and not through the ipod itself.
are there any other limitations with the ipods that anyone knows of pertaining to a specific generation or model?

is the full digital connection only with the touch models, certain generations etc.

i am looking at buying the 160gig newest classic model.
