DVC subs are louder than SVC.

Caps increase your amp voltage, whether your car is running or not.

 

by far the most common one I've seen is "my '1600' watt Sony amp will smoke your amp because it has more watts". People really need to learn that the wattage painted on the heatsink or dust caps aren't actual ratings!!! **** me off! Are you serious? Am I reading that correct? You NAILED mdf together? I can't even imagine the damage that could do to the MDF if you screw up. Not to mention I wouldn't want to be the guy pounding a nail through MDF for 10 mins. I'll stick to screws thank you very much.

the that ticked me off is when a local RF dealer told me that the distortion levels my mtx 6500d put out are gonna destroy my sub and that i shoudl buy a nice rf amp taht doesnt have such a high distortion rating [img]graemlins/bs.gif[/img]

My thoughts exactly... even though speakers can be blown by an amp that is rated below the speaker's rated power, it's not because it's underpowered. Otherwise it would blow every time you turned it down.
