How much time does it take to research, design, cut, assemble, cover and load an enclosure?
$250 for a custom enclosure at a shop is a very fair price. I start @ $200 for sealed and $300 for a ported enclosure. And don't think we are making much money at that price. I'd rather do a few dozen HU's in that time instead.

Do it in your backyard and then tell me what your time is really worth.

Thats good, At least you are supporting your local shop, I honestly don't get it, Alot of you B!Tch and complain that NO ONE supports local shops anymore, however you have someone who is fully willing to support HIS local shop and you guys are cuttin him up??? Maybe I Need some better drugs here or something!! :shrugs: Oh well, Your on a good track, 140.7 is better then a 138.X that some people ran AHEM RIDDLE_ROB AHEM !!! lol..

Thats a good thing man!! I compliment that you are dedicated to buy from a Local, then a big box(no offense really) or Ebay(or such online stores, NO OFFENSE STEVE aka smartass.bz), I deal with my local stores, if not Toronto is an hour away , I remember back in the day Rolling into Naniamo TO hit up the A&B sound Comps, Whoa theres a memory :P

I know some big box store Installers, they are great, but the salesman, Whoa there is a different ball of wax, Smaller stores, that thrive on sellin the gear know the ins and outs!! Its a good thing!! Sorry for the Thread jacking!! Back to topic!!
