holy crap yuli, im not sure how you figure a custom built sub box is too expensive at 250, i personally dont make 4 bucks an hour. it all depends on fit and fish and HOW the box is built. ive seen how many of the spl boxes are built by looking at the posted pics on this site, and no offense to anyone but, they look pretty sh#$%y. of course, if you are going to build 40 a year cuz you dont get it right , i can see how you would balk at the price. also keep in mind that the shop in question has a little thing called OVERHEAD. i dont think its fair to criticize the shop , on what seems to be a fair price on what i would hope is a well designed and well built custom tuned enclosure!!

And there is no such thing as a perfect box, because the chances of getting a perfect box (as in the absolute loudest) is remote.

sorry " douche" but, in case you missed the point "douche", a shop is not going to build a piece of crap box like we see on this site on a regular basis, and say they built it, cuz they look like crap and unprofessional. a shop has to stand behind its work, and most shops also take pride in their work. my point was that if you want to pay someone to build you a nice box, 250 is not at all unreasonable. have you taken a vehicle in for service lately?? i just paid over $100 for a mechanic to plug a diagnostic tool into my car to tell me why my check engine light is on. it took him 20 minutes. do the math!! i spend 6-7 hours on my sub boxes and they look and sound very good, or loud, if thats what you want it to do. as for the name calling, grow up already, what are you, like 12??
