As an HC15 owner I would like to know the nature of the deemed defects. Are they cosmetic (which I personally can live with), or more of a functonal/mechanical nature. I purchased a new sub in good faith.

</font>[/QUOTE]haha...does it really matter...you're sold second hand subs....for full price. is that legal?

^^Well, nobody said second hand. Second hand would be used in my mind. Defective is what we're talking about. If its a scratch in the engraving that's one thing...

I'm still waiting for RE to reply.

As stated before. RE purchased parts from Onyx Audio that were defective. We are using these defective parts in both our SE and HC series speakers.

Still another answer with a bunch of useless bable. What parts of the motor was deem defective. AND why is it no good for onyx but good enough for RE? I was planning on getting some HC's but now, On to B.A.

yeah there are big scratches...they say "onyx"....

how exactly are they deemed defective if they've never been used? or did they just send back a ton of woofers that had other things wrong with them...nothing with the motor?

i remember when elemental had a bunch of their K series replaced, and a lot of customers said their motors were either corroded or really scratched....do close classify as used or second hand?
