Nice work man. Very impressive numbers. You've obviously invested some serious money into this build/vehicle. I hope you are able to get the bugs worked out with the engine. Are you still using the TBI system? If so, have you changed the injectors in the TBI to match your new fuel requirements?

Had a similar issue with my old Camaro. Didn't matter what chip we put in or how much fuel pressure we sent, we needed to change the injectors to match. I'm sure you probably covered that, but I didn't see it mentioned.

well It is registered as a suburban, but saskatchewan was easy. they didnt ask for anything special other than GVW rating. AB on the other hand was quite a hassle. and now I think it is just registered as a suberbad.. hehe I like that.

Ya there is a ton invested. I would have to look at all recepts but i would think close to 20K on vehicle, less the build items and cost. But the way I looked at it was buy a newer vehicle for about the same $$ and do what with it? This is a daily comute vehicle and some hotshots to feild but if I had another truck this one would never be drove , much like the cougar when i had it for the last 2 yrs... so this is what i opted to do.

As for the injectors, no I have not matched them yet, but it seems it is somthing else, maybe not enough fuel yet. When I back out of garage and it is warm it runs very nice, but after rolling down the block it goes to hell.. so I do know the ambient air has alot to do with it. Brian says he has another chip mail and hopes this will fix.

thanks for the comments. every one that sees it thinks one of 3 things.
I am crazy , nuts ,.or retarded
I am out of my mind
Or thinks it is awesome.

The wife thinks I have gone offside with this one.. but once my comsumed time is
finished and she gets back into it I know she will come around... the guys out here that know here knows what she is like.... and compitition is a big thing..

I want big numbers form this jsut because , but the WOW factor and the insane daily driver tuning is what it is about.... I am not the least bit interested in the one note wonders.. And it is a coincedence alsnifer van got swiped.. I have asked him for 2 years to build somethign that will play music.... so Murilo let us all see you can build a ground pounder.

I would look into proper injectors... I had same issue. Injectors must match your new fuel pump PSI and the proper fuel gpm. I chip might help in terms of fuel gpm but won't really fix your issue till you get the proper injectors to match what you have. TBI is fussy that way... what a headache till I replaced the injectors. New motor and everything, couldn't figure it out... lol High volume pump requires higher output injectors.

Ya well I thinking this is about what is left. Maybe I could send ya some data and you look at it ? You would jsut need to download tts datamaster E6 to veiw it. It gives 20 free trials, so I have 18 left. As long as you dont close the program you can save or monitor as much as you want..... I have 5 differernt runs saved. It is just like a carb with the accerator pump that is bitched... once I pump it couple times and mash it down It lights right up.. It is this way with no load. very strange. I though replacing the plugs and TPS sensor last nite had it fixed but was wrong.

Nice to see all the work, Corey!

upload your pics on imageshack.us, get the direct link of each pic, click on "insert image" when posting, so you don't need to upload them to the forum.

Yes, after a couple months working on the van and hoping to get most of it done before the snow, I'll probably build something way smaller.

Ummm.. Ya , like the dumb car thing again
That was truely unbelievable. tall skinny guy in a little car that you would
surely die in. I still remeber passing you on way to dongs after the show and you looked so white knuckled it was not even funny as I sipped on the brew house paddling by with my duramax and car hauler that I had to pull you and dong out of the mud after he was trying to show off.. And then to the hotel and mike and mark were surfing on the trailer, clay was looking a little nervous.. goodtimes. but still the best was 3x and the pot of water your hand was placed in..... I still laugh over that,. Clay musta knew better... his hands were stuffed in his pants...

That image shack thing sounds like to much work. this is easy and works for me. any other time I try to imbed or link stuff it dont work. so until I see it done I ain looking like a dd queen !!

yes it makes alot of peeps ask alot questions ...

But no it is only 2X4. It is a tough go to get used too.. I have drove duramax diesel 4X4 for the past 10 years, 5 of em were 1 ton dually service bodies. the last 5 were 3500 crew cab single axle long box. talk about a real bitch to park at walmart or any other establishments... But If the TBI woulda held out till spring I was going to put a cummins 5.9 diesel in it form late 80's dodge that still had mech pump on it. the 6.5 chev diesel is junk. and the 6.2 is too under powered for my liking.. I can get a donor truck for 500 beans, but that change out to 4X4 torsion bars is way too much work for my liking. Remeber i need to drive this thing always, so a weekend would not get it done. So I would put a solid front end with leaf springs under it instead.

So we will see how the 2X4 makes out through the winter, and if teh weight with the right tires works out good then I wont need. but if so then nest year plan will be to make a 4X4 out it. The cummins thing is still going to happen. But not for awhile now. 2 years maybe.. depends how much she braks the bank on gas!!.. 150 l tank is not cheap to fill even at 85 cents a liter. I cant imagine what you guys are paying out there. but 400 K on a tank is nothig to write home about...
