They were banned because they were not a production vehicle, but a modified one.

you can still get them.. basically its the rear drive shaft from any gmc dully truck from the same year. with a few mods it can be done. The rear flares are not customer. they are the same plastic/fiberglass flares just molded to the rear of the truck to hide the tires. Any backyard mechanic could get it done in a weekend. but what is the need of having it. I have seen a ford excursion done with the same set up.

Bassrace would be the only reason to use a vehicle like this!

Yes it coming, It is already and bomby -15, and looking for a -5 tomorow and the grey cup weekend is looking close to 0.. so it will feel like summer,, The summer we did was not that warm anyways, I dont think we hit +30 this year.

And yes I drive it every day, so have to plan builds acordingly. When I ditched the dash I had thought It would be done already... But I had no help that day when I caged form C to B pillar and as a result that is all that got done. I feel the cage fo rthe dash will be a full day work in its self, and the floor and roof build in passenger compartment will be a day as well. The worst part is trying to hold the sheet to the roof and then pre drill holes for the screws.. Much like drywalling but only much worse. The 2nd layer is piece of **** to put on opposed to the first layer. Birch ply is so much nicer to work with than that damned mdf...

As for what it weighs atm ?? I had weighed it before gutting the rear seats / head liner/ floor mat etc and was about 7700 lbs. I am pretty sure by the end she will be over 10000 lbs, and If I put a 4Bt or 6Bt in it for a diesel it will add another 1000lbs.

6, more is always better. but if the 4bt can haul it around then you might save a little on gas, but not much lol

A 6 will be easier to obtian, and would have the trans/transfercase with it in an old dodge. I have found few old ones for under 4K with under 200K on em. But is not in budget for long time. There is far more items to possess first.

The pic of the welder and its settings was taken on purpose for Murilo. He had to use the Utube to learn how to use one and still I remeber he was still having issues.
attached I showed him what them are supposed to look like and he claimed they mean nothing till it breaks a 60. so in the one pic it shows a 160... lmao. The worst part was buffing that rust off, I had purchased the steel a year ago and after i decided to ditch that blazer it sat outside for 7 or 8 months till was put into this build.
