well i dont know what close encounters is btu i assume alien kinda thing.

But I have build alot of enclosures over the last decade. and testing .. and testing.. I seem to have knack for it. i try to win isd, some other programs, but if yuli is talking truth and not using these types of things, i can say he too would have it. when I had the enclosure design for the cougar, I used winisd and such but the math seemd to hard. I like it simple.. a calculater and tape measure is all that is needed. I have the slightest clue how to build a 4th order or 6th order. but form experance and using the wife as a meter. they dont compare to the hurt or the feeling of nausea that my builds or flat walls compare to. I may not be as loud as it should be But i will take less effeciant/ better sounding anyday over a higher number...

I am not bragging or saying I know alot. It just works for me. and anyone in the area who hears me coming know that it must be Corey coming or going by.. No other boom box is that close as I am told.

there once was a time not long ago when I felt a "my **** is much bigger than yours" competiton between east and west. I wanted to be the bigger one. Just as I wanted to be loudest one.. but i have come to realize after last season (2009) that what is the point... I never plan to attend finals. for the amount of shows that I goto in a year based on what is happening in 6hr radias what is the point... So I know now, Build what I want. The way I want and who really cares if it is louder. I see bart went hard this year and congrats to him. there is others I see as well. the other big thing I see and like is the fact the guys in the east are loving bass race. So that means lower tuning.
I am loving the idea to get linked events between east and west if it ever could work.

The US is over 10X larger and so they get alot more competitors at shows. I dont know how far some of em like rob have to drive from state to compete but I know anything more than 12 hrs is liley not gonna happen. I cant handle it.. But the east has about 30 competitors to most every show , and we in the west span 3 provinces and get about 30 per show... So it really is sad. My hopes for this build is to inspire others to build. Formats like bass race and psyclone imo are helping the competition scene, It does not allow you to get your *** handed to you , like the fart competitions.. Prime ex....

me with 18 X 12. one 16 K. 157.xx Murilo, 2 X 16 K. 4 X 18, tuned for the fart. could nt play music to save his life but he was 10 DB louder..... no skin off my ***. but for someone who is new to the gig.. well ??? I been there killed them,. so Now I must help bring them back , is my way of thinking. But the format is major card in which decides who will stomp who... hence the name .. hehehe

But no it is only 2X4. It is a tough go to get used too.. I have drove duramax diesel 4X4 for the past 10 years, 5 of em were 1 ton dually service bodies. the last 5 were 3500 crew cab single axle long box. talk about a real bitch to park at walmart or any other establishments... But If the TBI woulda held out till spring I was going to put a cummins 5.9 diesel in it form late 80's dodge that still had mech pump on it. the 6.5 chev diesel is junk. and the 6.2 is too under powered for my liking.. I can get a donor truck for 500 beans, but that change out to 4X4 torsion bars is way too much work for my liking. Remeber i need to drive this thing always, so a weekend would not get it done. So I would put a solid front end with leaf springs under it instead.

So we will see how the 2X4 makes out through the winter, and if teh weight with the right tires works out good then I wont need. but if so then nest year plan will be to make a 4X4 out it. The cummins thing is still going to happen. But not for awhile now. 2 years maybe.. depends how much she braks the bank on gas!!.. 150 l tank is not cheap to fill even at 85 cents a liter. I cant imagine what you guys are paying out there. but 400 K on a tank is nothig to write home about...
The dodge is 2wd and it is awful, awful on the winter. Slipping tires under 1000RPM on all gears, haha. You do have some weight there to help.

ooohhh that is why you got pink lipstick so cheap..

Yes big boots and a dually to boot is not fun at all with no weight.

My answer for you is to put some cheap ply wood in box and get a yard of

gravel, screenings, sand, pit run , what ever but 1 yard is 3000 lbs.

This will help pink lipstick to get around the peg much much better my friend.

Yes Corey, I never got to see how it was back then... It is weak now but one thing is for sure, lots of die hard competitors will never quit playing around.

There are so few cars built only for dB drag right now.

Now regarding that 3x, I thought you would have wooden floor and roof already, and at that time I was thinking I would attend finals with the car, so I burped at 5+, but you really can't compare since your setup at that show was not for the mic, you knew that.

About rules and all, right now I don't think people are building for a specific class, they are building to listen it, so the formats must adapt. Who has 10kW+ of amps and one battery? Super Street cars must tune 60+ otherwise the windshield is gone..., a couple examples.

Hey boi. no probs, I had dreams of attending finals, but the drive to your place was enough. I cant imagine waht riprock and clay go through to get there, even TO is so far away from here, I know you head to finals and that is fine. I did not mind getting mine *** handed to me. i had more afterwards or between runs, your pope mobile gots looks, but my wow factor and demo;s had more ... remeber the astro at the church ? Not one person there could believe I was inside it, or be hind the loading wall.. You yourself should know that thing got more results after the show with the demo than the show itself. Hell I remeber so many looking at the cougar even with broken woofers and going wow, and the bass race? hehe that was awesome. After the DD and atomic were killed in qualify I hit a 120 on front end... and you were miles from 149.9.

The wooden stuff was described over the phone, but like teh flips your language barrier kicks in.. I understand that. I am about both . but in all reality teh #'s mean ???? braggin rights.. pffft.. every knows records will be broken , or like the bible says nothing is ment to last... and i take that one to heart. no matter what , some one some day will be bigger or better. In anything, And yes anything below 60 needs reinforcment.. that pressure is insane the damage it creates.. I have had to repair my mirrors twice already, the rear doors are not healthy. the lock motors have been fixed and relocated. So when the B pillar is sealed anything in front must be STRONG like SD hehehe..

This is cool!

I'm glad someone built a crazzy vehicle that's a one off piece pretty much!

I always always wanted to build a grumman or a freightliner small delivery truck! Just like the UPS or Fedex Trucks!

Even better who has done a Armoured vehicle? Maybe find a brinks truck? Won't pop to many windhields till you hit closer 170db's i bet!
