My Build Log - Chevy Dually
#81
Thanks guys, I am happy you approve I am thinking the final build will be of what we discussed long ago. Hopefully It will be done for next time you see it, and we will have drink a box a beer again and play some pranks on the alsniffer and clay again after they pass out.
The column is waiting on parts as it looks pretty bad. I am also debating a console shift instead of the column.. dont be needing truck to run away like Jimbo has. These older vehicle dont have the brake release like the new cars do and it worries me abit if not inside and it jumps into gear, I dont think the little chock blocks will stop it
I am sure Curt can chime in on what it is like inside and it has long way to go yet.He got a pretty good demo yesturday

Nice!!!!!!!!
I have been watching this cool build, just haven't commented (sorry, not much of a poster). I think this is one of the cooler builds out there, it should be able to do it all, cave skulls and hit the meter, and those are the best!
Can't wait to see/feel it in person lol. Hopefully you get some gear in there that can handle the violence, and get through some shows without gremlins for once, that would be nice hey?
Nice handy work on it, keep it up and keep us posted, I'm watching...

Well as far as planned about 30KW give or take 5K. But I have a meeting with the owner of the company on next friday to see if his stuff is a go or not. he is flying out on wed to the west and is making a stop here to check out the truck, so when the decision is made and the gear Arrives I will post the pics.
Ya I sure hope so. It been a long hard road the last 3 years. Life learning lesson I suppose. But when the quest for 150+ at low tuning becomes a real battle. I hope curtis has good luck with his build.

Are you sure? lol. 7K is alot of power.. to get full 7K out it you need a stout bank of power or supply from batts for a daily. I know the 16Kd in a windstar with a XS Power D34 and D31 would burp a 52 and change, but bass race would be lucky to last a 39.9... The 2009 Crew cab duramax I had with a don special 18 and 700 watt the wife couldve overshot 39.9 agaist alsniffer on stock electrical. But when 2K was applied, the power fell on its face...
So I agree with ya, 7K is a more than enough power for a daily system, groundpounder etc... But for fart contests the sky is the limit... as long as the amp dont Pyle up... lmao
