My Build Log - Chevy Dually
but ya it was Don, he was bored and wanted to come check it out , and as much as the other guy may have somewhat of a resemblance to him in this pic , He is a buddy who I havent seen in a long while. Another one who was blown away from the build, but was not suprised.... lol.
So did some work on the the other weekend only for one day though
some work on the floor and the roof, got some seats from the wrecker here for cheap, but they didnt pull em for me and so on sunday I went out to get em and of power seats, mmm find some power to move them to get at bolts and of course one nut let go and the torch they had used propane and being -30 it didnt work so well, so hammer and chisel for an hour ..... not fun. felt like I was doin belt splicers again .
Crackberry pics to large to upload so need to compress

Wagered the entry fee to ddking to see who has builds ready. Once the time consuming cage is complete the wood and glass will be a breeze and fast opposed to this nightmare. YOU would never believe that is not one level or square part in this vehicle , and welding to pop can mat;l is never fun with or with out a tig, I would prefer alum welding over this crap! starting to loose incentive to finsh steel fab............

So on monday I woke up fine but by after lunch my right eye was watering like bastard and felt like got some flash. put up with it for the day but by after supper had a nap and was not good. Finally went to emerge at 11pm and was out by midnight
first time ever was in out that fast.
apparently a piece of steel or something gots onto the eyeball and imbedded. So they froze the eyeball and had instant relief and then she took a needle and dug it out, then put in some dye and black light and then froze again and then dug out some more,. then was all good.. put in some antibiotic cream and put on the patch. missed next day of work and then was good to go

So wed come around and my electric fans showed up on tues so I had to put them on... Couldnt wait to see how much HP that flex fan robbing and the gas milage was brutal... 140 L to got edmonton and back. (530K) HP increased huge. fan was with out doubt taking 15 if not 20+ hp. Pulls like mad now... but dont think fuel has increased. The cold weather has not helped any to say the least...
Well Don, I think the wood part is to be much easier than that of the steel. The problem that will need to be solved is the glass..... I dont want to put in lexan or plexi or what ever. But this will be the limiting factor by far. I am going to guess not much over a 60 before it lets go somewheres
