This build had intent with large #'s but now it is not. It more of a wow factor, and the feeling of it upto a block away. I wish I could make the Utube vid. I have never experance a system yet that playing low note songs ( my fav atm is hard) that would knock snow off buildings/cars what ever 2 to 3 car lenths in front of you as you drive along the street.... absolute insane... Buit Much damage is resulting and now the 16kd has been taken out for a burp test on buddy newly aquired 1000.1 ( clamped 12000 and change with 3.2 rise. 205 V 63A ) no lab top to meter test. But ya it is on par for sure. Every demo as of late has caused the problem Jimbo has had for last 2 yrs. Steering column is busting at tilt knuckle. I need time to see if I can build stonger or jsut go with non tilt like Clay did.

The other issue is the damn door pins come out and when the person gets out the door almost falls off. I can spot some weld there, but door build is not done yet... So for now no bass will be the driving force to get bass.

But there will be no bass till the front end is built. Too much damage going on with a mid 50's daily driver.

Well Didnt get to any welding on weekend as the shop had too much stuff in it that could not get truck in for work. So Next weekend I Plan to get at it again. But I Did get to install the new bus bar for the lower batts, still in need of few more the top to get it finished, and figured I might just as well connect the AB up again and test on the meter to see how it does.

I started at 65 and worked down, But the voltage was too low to make it peak at 30 or 35 by the time I got down to it. Tests were done the same, Car off, test volume 25 out of 30, meter @ 4 and 12 on windhsheild,

I was pretty amazed to see what it put up for #'s. But it is a 2ohm amp and the SD is 1 ohm and was a direct swap with no changes at all.

Also the third chip revision showed up on friday, and it runs much better, but still needs a tweek, the second come in beginning of december but was way worse than the first one.

As for the Numbers and curve. I know when I change the box it is going to be alot diff responce, The way it is makes the responce as flat as it is, when you go into where the rear seats should be there is a huge difference in the effect. And unfortunatly the lows just dont feel the same, but it is an easy 5 db increase. So for numbers it will be good, but for the "feel" of it not so sure.
The passenger seat back floats forth and back a good inch or 2 when playing anything between 20 and 30 as the wave lenth is so getting to its peak lenth but I fear this is going to change once the B pillar comes in.....

well thank you , I will have to look to see what I have other than the ones posted.
But not sure what else there is. I will take more as it progresses. sometimes I get so busy and forget to take step by step pics and then they get taken afterwards.

Found a column here local for cheap so will be doin that week maybe ? depends on the shape this one is in when I get it, but want it done before the dash gets welded.

this means serious bass. Wrecking things with Bass is amoung the cooler things one can accomplish.

Well Didnt get anything done the last weekend because when I went to go out to feild on thursday I was fueling it up and looking at wheels and notice there was a couple nuts missing on the left rear dual, as I looked closer there was studs missing as well. That is not good. So I limped to tire shop couple doors down and borrowed a wrench and the other six were loose as well. So off to the shop it went to get new studs and nuts. Of course the rims were egged and required new ones as well. So while it was there I got some exhaust leaks fixed on them damn headers.. but the replacement were different and the headache of them forever leaking was not what I was wanting any more, so ditched them for some manifolds... But because of the timing and parts not in stock It had to sit in shop for the weekend, But this weekend got some done on it. You can see my custom tensioner in the one pic, The factory one just wouldn't cut it no more and too much belt slip.
I notice that there is problem with them new rims not lining up.... I guess I have to back and get it fixed.. I cant understand why it is so hard to do the job properly. Just the same as the wires touching the manifolds... As if 5 minutes more on the job to make things right will make a difference on your paycheck... especially now when it comes back and they spend 1/2 hr to make it right ...

So after the headaches that had come about on the last weekend, I was able to get some time in this sat. But motivation was not really happening, was at a lobster boil the night before, and I have not ever looked forward to this part of the build. Trying to decide how to build this dash with all the stuff that is in there and the rounded frame is not going to be easy to decide which way to go about it. But after the steel that is in there I can tell ya that it made a huge difference, the wipers hardly even move now, where as before they would bounce right off the glass. Still have the column to replace yet, but need parts to make the used non tilt look better, It is pretty rough shape cosmetically. I hope this week will have some time in the evening to add to it..
