My Build Log - Chevy Dually
Well the system worked pretty well for a few months untill some issues arose from the abuse and such , best score on mic 157.xx but needed some tweeking to make better, Just didnt feel like working on it much to get it better. Then the season was done and pulled all the gear by November and then started the tear out in Jan/Feb .Installed some old gear I had kicking around on the front end.
For this year I planned on not as large of system and not as hard core.
But of course that cant happen hahaha. Good ol dong hooked me up and got some new gear for me and few others , so has some installs ahead of me , and then time to get on the bandwagon build my baffle to house the new woofers. getting some plate cut on water jet for the new baffle as well as another 5 sheets of 3/4

And I got searching around and scored a freebie !
One of my suppliers quoted me on the plate and then I talked to the boss man and he got to me free of charge .

So then onto drill and tap the hole to 1/4-20 for mount the woofers into it , Broke one drill bit and one tap
but got new tap and carry on with rest of the holes.
And now onto cutting the MDF to make the baffle 6" thick

And so cut the material out rough and then to cut to fit .Took abit of time to get the first one made, and then use as template to the next and build out . Each one is different because of the angles on the side wall and the floor. About 3 hrs to get all to fit and had to rip 3/8" of the angle part of the plate.
So pull all out , and start over with mounting the baffles and glue/screw into place and then layer them up . Use only the best for the glue PL premuim FTW
Three of the jumbo tubes in all. And now have to sand out the woofer holes and make them smooth with a bit rounding for a good transition. That sanding is not going to be fun . and will take all week ahead I am sure.Has deck screws holding the plate in place till get the 1/4"X4" lag bolts installed tonight, then make the front baffle to flush the woofers and then prime / paint and time to start the install
