Ya it is a very time consuming project. Money too.. lost count long ago on hours and money spent. Far more work than I even imagined. Just figured do this and that and it be done. But a little this and some of that results in lots of time, and for the truck issues it is eating away at build time But some day I will have some tunes again. Ya the diesel project will be down the road, Once this is done enough that I am spending every moment i can on it , it will be nice to not have to work on it, The diesel swap will be more than a few hours I am sure. ,Have lots of research on it and seems not bad but again there is alot of fabrication and custom work....

So got a few hours in on the weekend, Got baffles finished and primed, and then started to fill the rear and get it ready for finishing as well. That sanding is a terrible job and no money in the world would make me want to be a body man...

And so yesturday I ordered some new springs and decided it was such a nice day that I should replace them , so after work backed into the shop and went to town on , pulled the U bolts and took to get new ones made and then got the liquid wrench out to remove them nasty bolts. Been a few years since did some suspension work, but feels jsut like yesturday when 10 yrs ago was doin lots of it. Put in the new springs, installed a 3 degree shim for the pinion angle, didnt feel like spending an hour on the mill when shims were so cheap. and then put on rear flaps that been sitting here since a year.. lol, just didnt take the time to do so. Will put on new bumper tonight, got replaced under warranty for the rust that is coming out of it.

It dont have no torsion bars, springs on 2wd , would love to put a dana under the front but that is for later when do the diesel swap. I will fix once the gear is installed and weight is all in it . It didnt drop in rear as much as before cuz the weight is moved ontop of the axel instead of behind it. Main focus now is to get build finished by end of month but with rugby 3 x a week and few other things kids have goin on time is even shorter now, and when end of june comes there will be camping and fishing season... Have not got much done in last week except finished at B pillar now, and roof . But she is having greif yet again. Like a dumb *** I knew I shouda changed flex plate, but couldnt get one in short notice, has to come out of the east so it looked fine and now it aint. so pulled trans last night and at same time input spraq is giving me some grief so I will replace it and new flex plate to night. RAMMSTEIN concert tomorow night in E town so no build time tomorow, sat has more rugby .. but we see what happens.
