I have a feeling it's going to be a long day for RE, eD, Onyx and Destijl, and any of the RE distributors!!

This thread has really grown out of proportion, here and on half a dozen other forums. I'm curious has ANYONE else checked their HC or possibly SE motors?

You wanna know why? I educated my customers on the proper use and applications for the woofers they bought.

Out of the hundreds of x-ones I maybe had to recone like 25 total and most were out of warranty burned coils from distortion tests. I made my Inhumans and had less than 3 warranty items per year so those were no concern. Actually I broke more than anyone. Damn, I must have sold defective equipment, but I never even inspected it, bahhh

Now when I decided to shut down Beyond I really didn't shut it down. Because Beyond Audio is me and I am still here. I changed product only and what I put my energy into.

I know the crew at Destijl puts their all into their stuff so I agreed to pick RE up for Canada.

I try to make ends meet while supporting the industries finest people, YOU the customer and friend.

This in no way bothers me as a new distributor and I have not seen one shred of performance complaint that I should even care about. Once I see the performance complaints then its my problem.

Anyway, its late and the pizza guy is here with my pizza I ordered, I better go pay or he might eat it.
Well enough said Don, However, the post that I put in YOUR forums regarding this seems to have disappeared. If you are not concerned about it then why did you DELETE it? I thought since as you said yourself that you are RE's distributor the best place to go looking for answers would be from you.
That shows great customer service. If you have any concerns send them to don so he can delete them and pretend they never happened.

WHY is the UK distributor apologizing to the consumer and not RE? Both David and Scott from RE have posted and no apologies to their "valued" customers have come yet. They still have not stated what the problem is so it leads me to believe that there is a LOT more than cosmetic problems.

Elemental Designs cut ties with Destijl Engineering / Resonant Engineering for many reasons.

Like Onyx we found ourselves rejecting products for various reasons and quite a few being rejected by customers for various reasons as well. Like Onyx eD takes our quality control very seriously. Even though our prices are very low we don't think people should get a sub par product. But like Onyx, they should get the best. These days we do a lot of testing and actually have someone who does nothing BUT test speakers all day, everyday in the office to insure there are no speakers with issues shipped.

eD cut ties with said company becuase we felt it to be 100% in our best interest for our future. I feel our products are of higher caliber now than they've ever been, more reliable than they've ever been. And I feel confident it was without a doubt the right descision to make.

Sheesh - I just HAD to register here also to add my $.02

Has anyone considered this:

Perhaps RE and Onxy DO NOT use the same parameters when it comes to the motors, etc.?

An example: Maybe the vent hole in the magnet of Onyx drivers is supposed to be 7mm wide, and RE used vents 8mm wide.

Then, Onyx gets a batch of magnets with 8mm vent holes, decides that's no good for them. RE buys 'em - not because "quality control" is not as tight there, but because they are the CORRECT 8mm size for RE drivers.

Only an example

However, RE oughtta explain, or at the very least give the folks at Onyx the go-ahead to state what the defect is.

Someone needs to fess up, and say what exactly was wrong with the parts, and why they are suitable for RE and not Onyx.

Just MHO.
