5:00 am Sunday morning......... Mr. Tom hasn't had any coffee and stares at the computer with only one eye open. 7 pages later into this thread, now having closed the first eye and using the second........... have solidly come to the conclusion that black coffee is in order. Found it rather odd that someone just jumps up and says the "D" word and yet no one has been able to state WHAT THE GAWD DAMN DEFECT IS I'm sitting here reading away in anticipation and 7 pages later, I either missed it or it ain't there. If someone was going to open the can of worms, why not just put all the truths on the table.

On another note, just would like to extend a warm welcome to all those NEWBIES who have never been here and have traveled far to read this wonderful thread. Please feel free to wander around and join in any of the very interesting other discussions. I for one am now off to brew a huge cup of that Italian java that they can use to seal highway expansion joints. Everyone have a nice day.

Not unlike whining to the kia dealer about your tires wearing out prematurely and why aren't they covered under warrentee?

I am quite sure that if you laid down $1200+ for an amp sub combo that was supposed to be top notch, you would of had a post three feet long here just flames coming out everywhere, Tha-game. You know it too.

The bottom line as I see it is that the head honcho from re has stated defective parts were used to make some of their drivers. Regardless of whether I've blown it up yet or not, I feel that I've paid full retail for b-stock. And it sucks.

The ball is totally in re's court. They screwed up.

Cool

ASSUMPTION:the whole thing could be that there is actually no difference between the motor structures, and in order to prevent the synonomous use of the users names, the have agreed to call the goods defective as not to have any association of product or quality

Mum's the word & will always be the word...kinda like the caramilk secret. again if the product works why bash it.

^^ Defective would not be the term to use with your assumption.

The problem right now is the unknown. What exactly is the defect? Until that is known (and I realize it may never revealed to the consumer) we can't just assume it's cosmetic and tell ourselves "Well it's probably OK. I haven't blown it yet" and forget about it? Manufacture's around the world would love it. We can sell them anything and they won't complain. Great for us.

Again, I bet if you layed out the clams for this setup, you'd be singing a different tune.

I will now think of "defective" in this thread in an entirely different way.

RE at one point did state why the motors were defective.. (breaching the NDA) I just can't remember where now.. I think the post got deleted or edited because the people from Onyx reminded them of thier agreement..
