IMO.. these days there is more to a company then performance of thier product and price. Customer service and satisfaction have alot more to do with it now. That's why I choose the equipment I choose. If a company has a record of doing shady business practices, I obviously will not use them.

(I'm not saying do not use RE or any other company)

you have know way of knowing those motors were never used. i'm guessing that like ED customers had to send in their crappy unglued speakers....maybe a lot of onyx customers had to send in their crappy unglued speakers....and that's where these motors came from....maybe the onyx customers sent them back to Scott from Onyx....who then sold them to RE/destijl. i just find it weird how (reading all these threads) Onyx subs had a good deal of problems...ED subs had a good deal of problems....brahmas are still coming unglued....and they are all built at the same place as RE, but you never hear of any RE product breaking??? just struck me as weird....

This thread is interesting at best. The drama queens, or in this case ewes, are making it out to be something else altogether. As long as the sub performs as described, for as long as required, then whats the difference.

What i think is funny Derek, is that these subs were great a week ago, now they suck and the owner is out to scam everyone. Thats BS plain and simple.

If you would have bothered to read all the posts you would have noticed that no one has said anythng bad about the hc15's performance. For myself I have said that I'm very pleased with the performance of mine on more than one post.

The thing that sucks is the admission of re that defective parts where used to build them. I paid full retail in good faith. How much of a stretch is it for me expect less than A-stock?

The value of it whether I chose to sell it or not has been diminshed. And probably other re products just by association.

And as far as sheep go, I think it would better be used to describe consumers who are too afraid to stand up for their rights.

I am enjoying my RE8's as much as the day I bought them. For my setup, nobody else really makes an 8 inch that steps up to the RE(except for maybe the Tangband) for the same price. I realize that for some of you that bought the higher-end line of subs it may be kind of dissapointing, but I am sure that RE will make some sort of statement about this on Monday.
